Ethical Hacking

It was a hands-on workshop on penetration testing conducted by Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pattoor. It was a step by step guide for discovering the vulnerabilities of a system. We were given a virtual system to do the task. It was very similar to and much simpler version of CTF (Capture The Flag). We were introduced to pen-testing tools like nmap, metasploit etc, in Kali Linux. We were also introduced to a wide variety of cyber attacks such as bruteforce, dictionary attack, reverse shell etc., Also it gave us a better overview of how internet works and some of its important protocols.

PyCEC

It was the first Python Student Conference and it was conducted by the Forum of Computer Engineering Student (FOCES) at the College of Engineering, Chengannur. I was fortunate to be a part of the event organising team, and that was a great experience.

The Event was basically a display of the power and simplicity of python language. We had different hands-on session and some of them were on Image processing, web scraping, Machine Learning etc. It gave us an awareness of the power of Python Language, the idea that such complex task can be done with few lines of code without any complicated syntax was awsome.
